Welcome!
Lin Waterhouse is one of those fortunate people who retired from one life to find another more fascinating and rewarding world beyond. After one lifetime as a soccer mom and businesswoman, she relocated from California and Arizona to the Missouri Ozarks and launched a career as a freelance journalist and fiction author.
The focus of her writing is searching out historical curiosities of the Ozarks region and interviewing the artists and craftspeople that live in the beautiful hills and "hollers" of the area.
Lin’s non-fiction thriller The West Plains Dance Hall Explosion (The History Press, December, 2010) details the unsolved mystery of the 1928 explosion that transformed a small-town dance hall into a raging inferno that sparked international media attention.
Her fictional mysteries Bred to the Bone and The Ghost of Timmy Wahl will be available from Mitchell-Morris Publishing in July of 2012 and March of 2013.
She also writes for local and regional magazines and newspapers.
Lin lives with her family on the farm that was her husband’s boyhood home in Sycamore, Missouri.
